Question: why left front suspension goes down full left turn? normal when released

This came about just recently.There is no unusual noise except the left wheel seems to be touching when fullyturned

    I would look front suspension damage or a broken coil spring (if the Explorer uses a spring it may use torsion bar suspension). At any rate something serious is wrong that may result in a failure/safety issue, and abnormal tire wear.I would suggest bringing your Explorer to a tire store and get them to check the suspension and ball joints, and also the chassis for damage or rust.
