This is common and has been going on for around three months and normally when I first start up my truck when cold? Could this be a heater coil or thermostat...also is there a replacement air cabin filter

Sounds as if your coolant is low, if yours has a cabin air filter, the part stores carry replacement filters.

Can you tell me the exact location to look for the cabin filter..behind glove box like others?

If it has one, some year models do and some don't have one. I don't think the '06 had one. Just checked, it does not have one.
