Why is there a lot of road noise(underneath car)when we drive it on the highway? on 2012 Ford Fusion

Doesn't really happen in the city (stop and go traffic) but on the freeway and long country roads. Sounds like rocks or debrie is being kicked up.

It's more than likely the type of tread on your tires.

It's a new car. Got it the last week of Dec. Do we need to change the tires?

Should be under warranty. Take it back to the dealer and let them drive it. Be sure and ride along with them so you can point out the problem.

Is it going to damage the car? The debrie being kicked up.
