Why is the lights out indicator still on after I changed the light bulb? on 2000 Lexus RX300

We replaced a front headlight and back brake light but the indicator light is still on.

The light malfunction (yellow light) only works for the rear lights. Are you sure all the rear lights work including the inboard lights in the tailgate and the third brake lights. After replacing the bulbs you have to turn off the key and turn it on again for the light to go out. Make sure the correct bulb and wattage bulb is used.

thank you - we checked all the lights, removed/ cleaned/ replaced the negative lead on the battery and still have the light malfunction symbol.
