Question: Why is the ABS light on and making noises

 Rookie

light came on before the brakes were changed thats why we changed them, but the actual brake ligh never came on. Had no brakes

    Have the ABS system scanned. Doesn't sound like your regular brake system was the problem originally although now it may be involved.

    seek diag and est could be several issues incl abs controls

    They have problems with the tone ring on the axle splitting and sending an erratic signal to the ABS module.

    Thank you. My husband found that the ring is broke and is going to try and change it his self. Any imput on changing it would be helpful!!! And can I still drive the car with this broke?
