About 6 months ago I was at a gas station. I could not get the gas cap off. I twisted it until it broke free. I is not a common looking cap. I bought 1 from auto zone because the mechanic stated a code for evap came up. I changed the purge valve solenoid because the engine light is still on. I bought another cap. Is there a sensor in the original cap that is causing the light to stay on? What should I do? Do you think I should replace the fuel tank Pressure switch?

2002 Pontiac Aztek Question: Why is my engine light on? Do they still sell that gas cap?

A GM dealer will have the cap. I think it was like $30. I did not pass emissions because the original had lost pressurization so had to buy the new one. There is no sensor in the cap, the system can just tell.
