THe noise sounds like it is coming from the passenger rear tire area.

We are getting quotes for a rear differential issue causing a whining noise from the rear.

I had a similar sound coming from the rear of my '08 Matrix at 120,000 km. It was the right-rear wheel bearing. Replacement part: $395.00!!! Labour was extra. Now, at 135,000 km, the exhaust manifold is cracked - replacement part: $603.00!!! Labour extra. A far cry from the reliability of my '89 Corolla!
