why is my battery not holding a charge? on 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse

My RS Eclipse is not holding a charge. In fact, yesterday I had the battery replaced and drove home. Today, I drove 20 miles on freeway and stopped at a restaurant. Got back in and it would not start. All dash lights were completely gone. Turning the key produced nothing. I got someone to jump the car with cables. The battery was new a month ago. A national shop installed it. When it died yesterday I called a two company to give me a jump. When they had it in the shop the inspected the charging system and said everything was fine so they said the battery must be faulty. They gave me a new one, it started and I went home. Next day... dead. This may be moot 'cause I will have it in another shop later today for inspection and repair. Email me at thebigone2000@gmail.com

you better have youralternator checed again. check the belt tension as well. it could be charging at idle only and slipping at higher speeds. Roy
