1994 Mercedes-Benz S500 Question: Why does theVacuum assist work on one but not all the doors..trunk works

Problem began after a leaky transmission seal was replaced.. Tech admitted that a vacuum line was
Detached but replaced without apparent damage

    try this. in the trunk where the fuses are find the fuse for the pse system. this is what controls the vacuum pump. when the fuse is removed it will reset the vacuum pump module. try the doors again. usually what happens is the rubber diaphragm begins to leak. this causes the pump to run longer and get hot. it will shut down and need to be reset. this is not a fix but away to check the system
