2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Question: Why does my "Hot Engine Coolant" red warning light come on occasionally?

, 3.4L V6, Tampa, FL, September 23, 2011, 11:25

Every time I start the car the sound of liquid rushing or gurgling comes from underneath the center of the dashboard. This also occurs every time I depress the accelerator.Again, occasionally, the "Hot Engine Coolant" light comes on when the temperature gauge indicator goes all the way up to the maximum temperature.

If you hear a gurgling sound either the cooling system has air in it (due to a leak or possible head gasket sealing issue) or there is air trapped in the cooling system.I t certainly needs to be looked at as over looking this issue may result in serious and expensive engine damage.
