Yesterday my car sat outdoor in the rain while I was work. Driving home I noticed when I made left turns the vehicle sounded like it was driving through a puddle. The sound came from the front passenger side of the vehicle. As the pavement was wet I attributed the noise to water on the road. However, the noise continued even when there was no noticeable water on the roadway beyond merely wet pavement. The vehicle is still making the noise today. It is only when I turn left as far as I have noticed. Since it rained so much yesterday I thought maybe water was draining from somewhere but now I don't think that is the case since it all should have drained by now. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, I have 2011 Mazda and it's doing the same sloshing noise after a big rain. Dealer said not to park it under a tree -- hello, where else can I park around my work but tree lined street. AND NO, they don't unclogged it for free. I have to call Mazda customer service to complain! No easy fix I was told so we are paying for their mistakes, I don't think that is right. ALSO, the reason that it's sloshing when you are making a turn is that you AC is clogged. First of, it should not cost $300 to fix it (dealer fixes it for around 40+ or so) and all they do is unclogged the hole underneath with either a forced air or something. Anyway, there is a great video in youtube to tell you where it is located at and it is on the left/driver side where the silver foil is located and just fold it and it will show you where the hole is at. Hopefully this helps.

Sorry this is not an answer, but my CX9 started doing the same thing a few weeks ago. When I turn off the a/c it doesn't make the noise. Now 3-4 weeks later the front vents for the a/c or heater don't work but the back vents still do, and it started leaking water in the front passenger floor board. Haven't had a chance to get it in to a mechanic. Would like to know what this could be so I don't over charged when taking it in...Sorry just noticed the answer above. I will try taking it in. Thanks!

The exact thing is happening to my CX9 right now. I went into a cul-de-sack and made turns to the left in circles and water was gushing out of the passenger side floor. I have read mixed reviews. Some people say it's due to the rain. What did you end up having in your car. How did you fix it?

The SAME thing is happening to mine. My mechanic has fixed it once for about 300.00, but within a week the same thing is happening. It's got to more than clogged drains if it happened so quickly. Has anyone gone back to a dealer about this or pinpointed what the issue is? I'm in California in the middle of a drought, so it's not a wet-weather problem for me. I LOVE this car so much and this is really the first weird thing to happen with it.
