Question: why does my car start to shake after getting up to 40+ mph?

I just bought the car used 6 days ago and already it has started to shake, the brake in the back window has stopped working and Im afraid to get it on the interstate.

    First check that all wheel are tight. Check the condition, tire thread condition and sidewall condition of all tires. It is likely a tire is bad or at least needs to be balanced. If you feel the vibration in the steering wheel it is likely to be a front wheel issue.
