I have replaced the serpentine belt, idler pulley, new coil new plugs, new plug wires, new battery, new alternator, new fuel injectors, new starter. When the weather is warm it starts, runs, but with a miss. Not as bad a miss as before since I put new idler pulley on.The check engine light stays on. I can hear the fuel pump turning on when I turn the key to the on position. The theft light blinks off and on when it is not running and parked and locked in the driveway. Could it be my o2 sensors upstream and downstream, Belt tensioner,MAF sensor ( I watched a video on cleaning this but haven't done it yet) Also I noticed before I put all these serpentine belt (new) alternator, Idler pulley. That sometimes when it missed, the brakes didnot function properly. They worked somewhat but with hesitation like i had no brakes. It's got ABS and Front wheel drive . Just wondering if anyone out there could help me to know what's wrong. I really like the little car and got a good deal in it. But i just want it to run. I've spent alot of money on it already. The transmission is automatic and works great. Please help me to maybe give some ideas or opinions on it. Thanks Gizmo from Tennessee.

Well Gizmo, your first mistake was to just start installing parts without proper diagnosis! Your next mistake was to keep doing it over and over expecting different results! Since you have already wasted more money than you could have had it fixed for, i will offer a guess that you have a vacuum leak as part of the trouble with the brakes and engine skip. By not turn over do you mean not start at times? OR not crank at times? Tow different meanings!
I know, I told my husband that and he just don't listen. By not turn over I mean I put the key in the ignition, turn it on and then try to crank, start it and nothing. You mean Two different meanings? Or Tow? I can hear the fuel pump come on when I turn the key to start, but nothing when I try to start it. I was reading that it could be the belt tensioner wear, since the old serpentine belt was frayed really bad when we replaced it. Thanks for answering.
My wife says the same thing, calls me a man child at times! Oh, i ment two different things btw.
Now my husband says it's probably the Harmonic balancer. We spent the money on this car because it really is a good tight car and only gave 700.00 for it. Even if I have to replace things I like the car, Just wish he would hook it up to the codes thing.
They good cars! But it would be best to have it scanned. Good price you got it for, that helps!

I know, and the funny thing is my husband has a friend that has a diagnostic and he's never run one. Thanks. Now i get in it today and the thing starts right up and drives fine. I am thinking, O2 sensors, Mabey clean Maf sensor. I don't know... It has a ghost in it... LOL
