Question: why does my a/c flow move from vents to defrost when I accelerate?

when I reach 40 mph, the air flow moves from the vents to the defrost; when I slow down, the airflow returns to the vents.

    The mode doors which control air flow are vacuum operated. You truck more than likely has a vacuum leak. This could be anything from a pinhole in a line, a leaking actuator or cracked vacuum reservoir.
