do you have a tune up? maybe you need it by now, maybe your fuel pump going bad. seek diagnostic & shop around the prices

check engine light on if so run it and if the codes say multiple misfire check the cam shaft sensor or it could be the fuel injectors or look into the distributor cab once that comes off theres a module under that

popping is misfire. you can examine spark plugs and ignition cable yourself(save money). if plugs burnt than replace with premium type. examine ignition cables and boots. if charred and cooked looking than replace(rec. performance grade). accel more cost effective than OEM replacement and offers better conductivity(better spark).
rec. fuel system clean. ethanol treatment to 1 tank premium. ethanol blend in fuel causes build up in fuel system, combustion chambers, exhaust system and causes increased wear to spark plugs. clean system runs better.
may want to consider upgrading air filter from conventional type to high air flow design such as K&N. engine breaths better, engine runs better with slight hp gain(5%).
these items you can do by your self but still rec. having diagnostic run to see if any other issues u should be aware of.
