Why do I have to replace speed sensors and pulse generators so offen? on 2002 Hyundai Accent

I have had to replace either my speed sensors or pulse generators every 1 1/2 to 2 years. Why am I blowing them? The mechanics have looked at the electrical harness and the computer and said I could replace them but with over 146,000 miles-it is easier to keep replacing the sensors and generators. Is there a recall on this problem through either the government or Hyundai? I have heard from others that the problem might possibly be Over Drive is shorting out or shift solenoid etc. Apparently a big problem with this year.
