I have never seen the SRS light go on and stay on before now. My car is at 150,000 miles and it hasn't been in any accident that deployed the airbags. The car itself seems to be running just as smoothly but the SRS light remains on as long as the car is on.
Why did my SRS light stay on after I turned on the car? on 2004 Honda Civic

The 'SRS' light is showing you that a trouble code is stored for the supplemental restraint system. A qualified repair shop needs to scan the body control module on your car and find out the what problem(s)is/are.

It is on because there is a problem with the SRS. Take it to a dealer for repair, immediately. Do not attempt to repair yourself. Serious injury can occur if not done correctly.
