MY BROTHER FIXED THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THE VAN STILL SEEMS TO BE LEAKING AT RANDOM TIMES, NOT VERY MUCH. I CAN STILL SMELL ANTIFREEZE BURNING. THE VAN WAS RUNNING PERFECT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER THE MANIFOLD WAS REPLACED, NOW IT IS SMOKING FROM THE TOP OF THE ENGINE, WHITE SMOKE, BUT IT ONLY SEEMS TO BE SMOKING AT START UP THEN GOES AWAY. THE VAN IS NOT OVER HEATING MY TEMP. GAGE INSIDE THE VAN IS FINE EVERYTHING RUNS FINE, BUT THERE IS STILL WHITE SMOKE AT START UP AT THE TOP PART OF MY ENGINE. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS? WHILE MY BROTHER REPLACED THE INTAKE MANIFOLD HE THOUGHT THAT MY HEADGASKET WAS BLOWN BECUASE THERE WAS STILL A LEAK, SO HE TOOK THE ENGINE APART AGAIN, THE HEADGASKET WAS FINE AND WAS ACTUALLY REPLACED ONCE. HE CHECKED EVERYTHING AND FOUND WERE THE LEAK WAS COMING FROM BUT NOW THE WHITE SMOKE. MY VAN NEEDED TO HAVE AN OIL CHANGE ABOUT 3,0000 MILES AGO - WOULD THAT EFFECT ANYTHING? I NEED SOME HELP! I HAVE PUT ABOUT THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS INTO THIS VAN SINCE LAST DECEMBER! IT IS A MONEY PIT! BUT WHEN IT RUNS IT RUNS GOOD

Sounds like your brother may have missed something or he got a defective part by accident. They were brand new FACTORY parts yes? Because nothing else will do the job on a long term basis. Is your brother a Pro mechanic? Because even Pros have a tough time with these vehicles. Were the heads pressure checked and resurfaced when they were off, because if not they will leak. There may be a crack in the head and/or the head is not PERFECTLY flat and so it could be leaking coolant.
