Question: Whistling/squeaking noise when starting engine for a couple of seconds

I get a minor sqeaking/whistling sound when I first crank up the engine, just for a second or two. I sprayed a belt conditioner-belteaze-on the belts in case they were dry or tight. I had changed drive belts about a year ago, and just changed the timing belt and water pump as a combo jump. What do you think is causing the minor squeaking?? Thanks !

I would have guessed the drive belts are the source of the noise. I dislike "belt dressing" to illuminate fan belt noise. I am almost certain your car has a fan belt idler bearing but it would make a noise all the time. If you have the belts off spin the idler bearing and see if the idler bearing feels or sounds rough. Could the belt fitted last year have been too long?
