Question: Which engine do i have?

I want to change spark plugs and have been told ther were two differant engines. One is single and the other is a double ohc. How do I tell the difference as my owner manual is for a 318I?

    8th digit of your vin will tell you. You should be able to call your local parts store and they can tell you as well. the other option is on top of your engine may say sohc or dohc.

    If your engine has that bump-out that in the circle, you have a DOHC.

    take on out and take it with you and they will tell you at the store, or it should be in the door on a sticker in the driver side.
