i barely made it home the other night after my 2004 chevy cavalier standard 2.2 liter's clutch petal lost all resistance. The car will still start and i can only shift gears when the car is off and even then it jolts forward already in gear. I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. Please help.
Which component of my manual transmission is my problem? on 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier

I would check your clutch Hydraulics first and foremost. Is there any Clutch fluid left in the reservoir. If it is low or empty, there is a leak in the Clutch Hydraulic System.

Sounds like u have a leak in your master or slave cylinder ..the master is the easiest and cheapest to change ,it's usually the first one a mechanic will replace ..replacing the slave cylinder involves removing transmission ..mine was of course the slave cylinder
I am trying to replace the motor on my 2004 I tought I had all the bolts removed but it wont seperate from the transmission is there a bolt that I cant see
