2005 Pontiac Vibe 90,000 mi,
Clicking noise when set to fresh air soon after I purchased vehicle. Now I see it is a common failure. I now have to buy a $50.00 part and work in the cramped space under the dash.
2005 Pontiac Vibe 146,000 mi,
Loud ticking noise in dashboard area which has gotten quieter as time goes by. I was told it's probably a sensor but at the same time fan only works on high for heat/air conditioning/air. Now I'm told whole fan motor may need to be replaced. Window on drive side makes loud noise when rolled down to half way mark. Radio does not illuminate correctly since purchased. Replaced at dealership and the new one does not illuminate well either.
2004 Pontiac Vibe 160,000 mi,
Annoying clicking sound when using the fresh air of the 2004 Vibe. We replaced the actuator and it stopped for about a month, and now the clicking noise is all the time, even when the heating or air is off.
2003 Pontiac Vibe 150,000 mi,
If the recirculation button is NOT depressed while running the AC or heater, a loud rhythmic sound can be heard under the dashboard. I just keep the button depressed. My car now has 200000 miles on it.
2004 Pontiac Vibe 125,000 mi,
Air recirculate gear broke off and made a loud clicking noise that would only be dimmed when the recirculate button was engaged. Temporary fix and the noise soon returned, had to unplug the recirculate mechanism. Now it only pulls in 50% outside, 50% recirculated air.
Part that opens and closes the outside fresh air vent was stuck in the recirculate position. Dealer replaced the part under warranty which was just about to expire. Only other problem is the front brakes are starting to squeak a bit. Pads are original ones. Probably time for a change. No other problems to report
