1991 Mercedes-Benz 300SE Question: where to get the best price in my area 34683

It is going to be 16.2 hours of labor, that is what the book says and that is how long that it takes, I have done some. So, it is only the price of the parts that is going to have some wiggle room. I would use a good aftermarket evaporator, like from a NAPA store, that will save you some money rather than a Mercedes unit and use R-134 instead of the original R12, that will also save you some money, an adapter kit for R-134 is very reasonable, like a few bucks.
