Question: where to drain transaxle fluid from?

2007 Kia Sportage automatic. 80k miles. I want to drain transaxle fluid so I looked under the transaxle. It appears to have two plugs that could be the drain plug. One is horizontally placed on a box-looking part with fins or ridges on it on passenger side. Other one is vertically placed on the major part of the housing somewhat near the

    The horizontal plug is a fill plug and the vertical plug is the drain. I would recommend to remove the fill before the drain so that you are sure that you can fill it up (sometimes the fills can seeze).
