Question: Where is the timing chain located on a 2001 Saturn SC2 Coupe?

do i have to remove the water pump to get to the timing chain?

    the entire front of the motor needs to be dis assembled. it is not a project for someone not familiar with these repairs. very labor intensive.
    why are you doing this repair??

    I am about to replace the water pump and was wondering if i should replace the timing chain at the same time due to the fact the car has high mileage and i know that it will need to be replaced soon. I simply want to know if the timing chain is only accessible by removing the water pump...

    a diagram would help...

    nope, no need to touch the chain. it is external.
