where is the thermostat located on this car I have a v6 on 2007 Mercury Milan

I get heat but it takes a lot longer than it used to so I tohught it might be the thermostat, is this a good idea

Follow the top radiator hose to the t/stat housing, three bolts secure the housing to engine. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars..
