Question: Where is the thermostat?

 Rookie

here is the thermostat located on a 2006 monte carlo with a 3500 v6 flex fuel engine? One answer I got said upper radiator hose housing and another said lower radiator hose housing. It appears to be in the lower radiator hose housing but I really can't tell for sure.

  The thermostat is in the thermostat housing where the lower radiator coolant hose attaches to the engine at the driver's side lower corner of the engine.

  It is where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine and it is on the Passengers side not the drivers side.I just changed one out the other day

• Sensor gauge for thermostat for A/C
  My temperature gauge reads -40 degrees and therefore will not allow my A/C and Defrost to kick on! Not sure where the sensor for the gauge is located.
