monitor protocol on my scanner shows “PWM” pulse width modulation
IPT: (IN USE Performance Tracking) shows no values (0) which the OBD (on board diagnostic unit or ECU or Electronic computer unit does not show no values.
It shows connection icon to OBD2 connection of course with ignition on but no codes. I made sure connections were all clean. I tried a few times but with the same results. I am thinking maybe the Ignition Computer module (ICM)
I figure since the car still runs the ECM still is working but why it does not send a code to the scanner?
I realize a bad ICM will cause fouled plugs and cat troubles ect. Thanks for the reply.
