need a new fuel pump but dont know where it is located to change it

I suggest you get a repair manual for this vehicle if your going to be doing your own work. Without proper knowledge you can do more harm than good, especially on these diesel engines. You can get an online subscription to excellent information here: http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online

its inside the gas tank. it's not that simple to change. good luck

Do you need to replace the fuel pump in the tank or the external fuel transfer pump in the engine bay? If your fuel transfer pump has gone bad I would recommend doing the upgrade to the in tank fuel pump. There is a kit that you can buy at the dealership. I believe it was around $500. Labor on the in tank fuel pump is 2 hours.
