Try the fuel filter! Why do you think it's the crank sensor?

I have been told its the crankshaft sensor but I would not know if it is or is not but do you know where it is positioned?

When you were told that, was it tested by someone else. Usually when the crank sensor is bad it won't start. Make sure it's firing and good gas flow first. No need to spend money if your guessing.

To answer your question, it's at the rear of the left cylinder head, goes into the bell housing.
