Boy that goes to show you how different minds think; Gas, right rear of engine at the bell housing, it fits in an access hole to read the flywheel. If it's a diesel it's in a different spot all together. Fix your city and state, sometimes we ignore Potwin Ks.
It's diesel
OK on the other side of the engine is the fuel lift pump and on the engine block by the lift pump and oil register tube is the crank sensor.
Nope not there.
It's not to the rear of the left side under the fuel transfer pump on a 12 valve. Should be a grounding bolt with ground wires attached to it right next to the sensor.
Can I give you my email. We cam communicate there I'm tired of logging on here. Maysbarbaras@gmail.com Thanks
Look behind the starter. Bed time for me
Took that off isn't there. Thanks though
If you had a newer engine installed it could have a camshaft sensor below the injection pump on the cover housing.
IF it's a 1999 year model with the 5.9 24 valve Cummins diesel engine,, the sensor is in the engine block at the base of the engine oil dip stick tube and the starter will need to be removed to replace the sensor!!!
