Where is the cam shaft position sensor located on a 97 Jetta GLX? on 1997 Volkswagen Jetta

How difficult for a novice to replace? What special tools would be needed?

DO YOU HAVE ANY CODES AND REMEMBER CODES DON'T MEAN ITS THE SENSOR ALWAYS BUT THAT CIRCUIT ISSUE COULD BE WIRING OR SOMETHING ELSE.

I took it to Auto Zone. . I took it to Auto Zone and they did their little test thing and the read-out code said it was the sensor.I cannot find the code right now. I thought I kept it. I will take it back and have it tested again if I can't find it. Thanx for the info!
