2002 Volkswagen EuroVan Question: where is the battery mount?

to remove the battery, the manual says to remove the battery mount, where is it?

My question was vague...I was actually looking for the battery mount. I called Barber VW in Ventura, Calif. and the parts rep told me that there is a bolt near the front of battery area that when loosed will release the battery for removal. Thanks for the reply!

The battery is in the engine compartment under a black cover on the driver's side of the engine compartment. It is to the right of the brake master cylinder resivioir and coolant expansion tank.

On my VW Eurovan, there was a black plastic electrical 'compartment' with several thick wires leading to this. The whole box came out after I pulled directed upward. It was sitting on a metal bracket and after removing/moving the thick wires that were leading to the black pastic box I could see a single bolt which held the metal bracket on, this bracket was holding the battery in place and after unscrewing it the whole battery came out without a problem. Hope this helps!
