I get the Code P0496 after refueling. The engine also has difficulty starting immediately after refueling. I replaced the gas cap and went through two tanks of gas before the code reappeared.

It might well be a circuit issue, but more likely a valve issue. However, I would like to know the location of the canister and valve.

the purge valve is attached to the intak manifold under the hood near the fire wall has 2 vacuum lines attached to it, one on each side and an electrical connection, these are directional so pay attension to the flow direction indicated on the part, the canister is under the vehicle near the back in the middle..

Thanks for helping me locate it. I have ordered a replacement part. Hopefully it will take care of the problem.
