Question: Where is my gem module located?? Can I clear the message after I replace it?

Dealer just told me I need this module to fix a message!!!

    the gem module needs repl and reflashing to program let them do it as to save time and get warranty if by chance there wrong

    thanks for the info, but the dealer wants too much for the fix..Any ideas?
