I have reason to believe that the Mass Air flow sensor is clogged and/or dirty on my 04 Crossifre. Does anyone know where it's located and if so, how does one remove it to clean and/or replace. What would be the cost for a new sensor? Thanks

It is located in the air stream between the air filter and the throttle body. Why do you think the mass air flow sensor is defective? Do you have a code of any type? Some of the most common codes for mass air flow sensor problems are P0101 0r P0171 0r P0172.

Thank you for your reply. I believe it's the MAF sensor by the way the car is acting (or not acting) and after reading reports what the engine will do if MAF is clogged. I do not have the code numbers handy at moment, but will re-check. I've read that you can clean the sensor. I need to know what it looks like & exactly where it's located. I've searched the library and cannot find a spec sheet that shows a breakdown of said area (just an overall generic sheet that doesn't pertain to Crossfire's) and I do not want to spring for a expensive auto manual at this time. Please reply if you can walk me through and/or direct me to a site where I can purchase a "cut sheet" of said area instead of entire manual. Your assisatance in this matter is appreciated.

The mass airflow sensor is attached to the air cleaner box under the hood, but its specific location varies from one model to the next. It may be inside or outside the air cleaner box and may be installed on any side. If you can't locate it by visually inspecting the air cleaner box inside and out, this according to your specific product brand.http://www.lightdeal.co.uk/
