Jack up car and brace vechicle with jack stands. Then pop up hood and remove oil filer cap. Honda models use a 17mm socket or wrench for their drain plugs. The plug is at back bottom of engine. The filter is at the front lower section of engine. Then remove oil plug and washer and let drain for 10mins. Replace oil plug and washer and now remove oil filter with an oil filter wrench. Coat gasket on new oil filter with a thin layer of clean oil and twist new oil filter in place. Then put in about 4.5 quarts of oil. The accord works best on 5w-30 or 10w-30 oil. 5w for cold temps. and 10w for warmer weather. After putting in oil, let vechicle run for about 1min. then pull dipstick check level and add more oil if necessary. http://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=A0PDoS.xohNPo0AANG2JzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTBlMTQ4cGxyBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1n?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dhow%2Bto%2Bchange%2Boil%2B2009%2Bhonda%2Baccord%26fr%3Dyfp-t-701%26fr2%3Dpiv-web%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D2&w=450&h=600&imgurl=www.paulstravelpictures.com%2FHonda-Accord-Engine-Oil-Change-Guide%2FHonda-Accord-Engine-Oil-Change-Guide-006.JPG&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.paulstravelpictures.com%2FHonda-Accord-Engine-Oil-Change-Guide%2FHonda-Accord-Engine-Oil-Change-Guide-006.html&size=59.5+KB&name=...+for+replacing+the+motor+oil+in+the+engine+of+a+2009+honda+accord+sedan&p=how+to+change+oil+2009+honda+accord&oid=9b9fe9e20ce4ec456e4f6f9c56db964f&fr2=piv-web&fr=yfp-t-701&tt=...%2Bfor%2Breplacing%2Bthe%2Bmotor%2Boil%2Bin%2Bthe%2Bengine%2Bof%2Ba%2B2009%2Bhonda%2Baccord%2Bsedan&b=0&ni=72&no=2&tab=organic&ts=&sigr=13l84fee5&sigb=13s7idfcq&sigi=13d26i2j3&.crumb=SqzjMHUlv8u
