You need a repair manual or a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com. This will give you detailed diagrams and step-by-step instructions.

It's behind the driver's side rear wheel well. You'll have to remove the tire and the cover to access the fuel pump. Take note of where the fuel lines go. There are four of them. The fuel lines have a special connector on the end. In order to remove, push in towards the fuel filter, then pull away and out.
The fuel filter should be replaced every 50K to 60K miles. I've just replaced mines a few days ago.

Did you just change the fuel filter or did you change the whole fuel pump? how much did it cost?
