Where does the seal go on the drive line? on 1990 Chevrolet Suburban 1500

if we replace the drive line where does the seal go?

after you remove the drivshaft, you will have acces to the rear seal. take note to the ocndition of the bshing jst inside the rear seal area. look for wear on the driveshaft as well. Roy

If this is a 2WD truck the tail seal is in the rear of the transmission. 4WD will go into the transfer case. There is also a pinion seal that goes into the rear drive axle.

the drive line quit after putting it in 4 wheel drive so we replaced the drive line but is still leaking badly. We need to know where to put the seal.
