Question: Where are the fuses located? I have no manual

Question

Visitor, 1.9L 4 Cylinder Turbo, Culver City, CA, October 31, 2010, 14:18

My car wouldn't stop last night after a stop at a gas station. Triple A came and tried to jump start it but no luck, so it is not a battery problem. Possibly starter.
Could there also be a safety thing, if I am out if some fluid or other? I bought it 2 years ago with no manual. I want to check fuses but can't find them. Any help appreciated. Thanks
Natasha

The main fuse block is under the hood, left side , near the fire wall. There are more fuses in different areas. If you post an e-mail I can send you the diagram and you can print it.
