Factory recommendation for timing belt replacement is at 105000 miles. We recommend replaceing water pump at that time due to its age and additional labor is at a minimun to do it while the timing belt is being done. Buts its the customers choice if they choose not to replace water pump. I advise that if the water pump should start leaking at a later date it will most likely cause timing belt to be replace again at that time.

Same at my shop, or any shop for that matter.Plus if the pump goes out a week later
it could result in the timing belt breaking and lead to engine damage if driven by the
    timing belt.
