Question: when the brake pads are replaced, do the calipers have to be replaced.

No problem yet was told that brakes needed to be replaced with calipers?

    If the brake calipers were leaking or dragging I would suggest replacing the brake pads, but your car is only in need of brake pads by the sound of things. Perhaps flushing brake fluid may need to be done as maintainence but caliper replacement is not part of brake pad replacement unless there is a reason.

    wHAT COULD BE WEARING DOWN THE ROTORS EVERY 18000MILES IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CALIPERS?
