Also , intermittently, the car on idle will have a rhythmic pulsing , searching engine and I can see minor movement on the tachometer, but again the car doesn't stall. I am using the highest grade gasoline, have changed all the plugs and coils; air filter is clean.

Also on the cold start, once the car gets going it runs fine....and the starting problem is also intermittent.

Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong (no codes, etc). Is this bad gas or water in the tank? This car has 138K miles. Thanks!

    I would look at the injectors to see if any of them are leaking, check to see if there are any software updates for the engine computer, and make sure the electronic throttle body is clean.
