when I,m going down a hill and rpm,s read 2ooo rpm,s and i put it in nutrul it on 2010 Buick LaCrosse

stays the same. Why dosen.t it go to around 700 rpm,s ?

Well it is not a good game to play if it is an automatic. And i think LaCrosse came whith automatic only.
The thing is that your engine has a connetcion trough your drive line to the road and the engine gets a drive back even if is in neutral.
On Manual transmission you can disconnect the drive between engine and transmission by puting it in neutral so thisway your engine can idle.
