Question: when i shut off my engine, there is a 2 second "grrrrr" noise.

every time i shut off the engine, there is a "grrrrr" noise that only lasts 2 seconds. I was advised it may be the alternator???

    REMOVE DRIVE BELT AND SEE IF THE NOISE GOES AWAY THAT WILL GIVE YOU AN IDEA

    remove belt and replace with new? or just remove belt and put same back on?

    THE ALT. HAS A,LETS SAY CLUTCH DRIVE THAT WILL MAKE THAT NOISE. LIKE ANSWER 1 SAID REMOVE BELT NOISE SHOULD STOP.
    BUT SUSPECT ALTERNATOR!
