2007 Dodge Nitro R/T

 

Question: When I refuel the Nitro gas spills all over - anybody else have that issue?

About 90% of the time I refuel gas gets every where. I have an 07 R/T and had a similar experience with my 05 Durango. There ended up being a recall for the fuel tank filler inlet. Before I petition to Dodge, I need to know if this is an isolated case.

    no recalls as of yet ck for kink in filler neck vent hose or blockage

    Bring it to the dealer and have any remedy CLEARLY documented. If they do issue a recall or warranty extension , they will usually reimburse people for at least a portion of what they spent , and if the repairs are done at the dealer , they would be hard pressed to not refund it completely.

    As of the last of March 2013 the problem is a Factory extension Warranty and if you are experiencing this issue call Dodge and they will issue you a Number and set of words to call your local Dodge Dealership to set-up an appointment to change the tank of your Nitro!!

    Thanks all of you for the info. It didn't look like it had a kink in the filler hose, so I'll be taking it to the dealership. I'll post something on here if it gets resolved.
