It doesn't do it all the time but more times than not. It was having trouble going up hills, acting like it wasn't getting gas. So I changed the fuel filter and runs fine now. The check engine light also went off.
When I put the car in reverse it tries to die. on 2003 Ford Taurus

So what's the problem now?
It almost always tries to die in reverse. When the engines warm, or just starting out, nothing consistent to pin down.
Possible motor mount letting the engine rock in reverse and moving say,...the wire harness or other componet causing this. Wiggle test needed!
