Question: when i push the gas my car dosent want to go as fast and wont go up hills

 Rookie

it just moves slower when going up a hill and when i get ready to take off!. It also started today not wanting to go up a hill!!! what do i need to do or what could it possibly be???

    Have exhaust checked for restriction. Fuel pressure checked. Tune up.

    Does it have a tachometer? If so what is that doing when your trying to accellerate? Assuming it's automatic trans , what does it do if you shift manually?
