Question: When getting front upper ball joint replaced do I also need new control arm?

this was not done when upper and lower front ball joints were replaced.

    Look at www.rockauto.com they normally have good illustrations of the parts, I think the top ball joints are part of the upper A arm and the lower ball joint has a ball joint retained by a circlip.

    you can do the ball joint without the arm. we replace the whole arm. it is a matter of economics when it comes to this job
