Question: when car is shifted into drive why does it cut off

 Rookie

my car starts up fine but for sum reason wont stay on or it will run and the if i try to put it in drive it shuts off what do i do

    This sounds like the idle control system needs to be checked. The idle control motors tend to get dirty and cause this type of problem.
